Home is not what you make it.
Home.
Have you ever sat and contemplated what home really means.
Home is a place where you “come home too”.
A place where you KNOW you are loved, safe, supported. A place you know that even on bad days, you aren’t just welcome, you are sheltered from your pain.
This is probably why I never felt like I had a home. I never had that, even as a child.
It’s why I was always staring up at the moon wishing I could “go home”, even as a small child, I clearly remember this.
Home is where we have synergy and unity.
Where everyone works together to contribute to the home environment or culture.
A business works similar. If you have one or two people disrupting the culture it ruins the overall environment, they call it company cancer.
This is why it’s important to understand a home can’t be forced.
You can dress it up. You can build the decks, you can add the pool, you can try to make it a warm homey environment, you can cook the meals, you can do all the things.
But if you walk out that door and all of that falls away…. it was never a home, you were what made it home.
